DTH Drill Bits

DTH Drill Bits

MSD supplies DTH drill bits across seven product categories: 3 Inch, 4 Inch, 5 Inch, 6 Inch, 8 Inch, 10–15 Inch, and 18–24 Inch. These categories cover multiple Bit Shank systems and confirmed diameter configurations. Special diameters, non-standard shanks, and project-specific requirements can be reviewed with the MSD team.

MSD DTH Bit Product Range

DTH Drill Bit Sizes and Product Range

MSD is a China-based DTH drill bit manufacturer supplying down-the-hole drill bits for mining, quarrying, water-well drilling, foundation and piling work, construction, infrastructure, and other rock-drilling projects.

The current DTH bit range is organized into seven categories: 3 Inch, 4 Inch, 5 Inch, 6 Inch, 8 Inch, 10–15 Inch, and 18–24 Inch DTH Bits. Across these categories, the confirmed product tables include selected bit diameters from 90 mm to 1000 mm. Not every intermediate diameter is available in every size category or Bit Shank group.

Use the product cards to review each size category and compare its confirmed diameters, Bit Shank options, and configuration fields. The nominal inch category alone does not confirm the exact bit diameter, required Bit Shank, or compatibility with a particular DTH Hammer.

DTH Bit Shank Systems and Configuration Options

MSD supplies DTH drill bits for MSD, DHD, QL, MISSION, SD, N100, and N125 systems, together with other size-specific or large-diameter configurations shown on the corresponding product pages.

Available specifications vary by size and Bit Shank. Depending on the product group, the confirmed parameter tables may include Face Design, Gauge Buttons, Front Buttons, Back Buttons, Button Shape, Splines, Air Holes, and Weight. Not every size category uses the same specification fields.

A similar nominal size or bit diameter does not establish interchangeability. Confirm the exact DTH Hammer Model, required Bit Shank, bit diameter, finished hole diameter, and existing product information before ordering. Where a Bit Shank pairing has not been verified, or a listed bit diameter falls outside the confirmed hole range of the selected Hammer, separate technical review is required.

DTH Drill Bits for Rock Drilling Applications

MSD DTH bits are supplied for mining and blast-hole drilling, quarry drilling, water-well drilling, foundation and piling work, construction and infrastructure drilling, and large-diameter rock-drilling projects.

The suitable DTH drill bit configuration depends on the required diameter, DTH Hammer Model, Bit Shank, rock formation, hole depth, drill rig, available air system, and operating conditions. The corresponding size pages provide confirmed product-specific diameters, Shank options, button configurations, and matching boundaries for comparison.

Face Design, Button Shape, and Button Layout should not be selected from the application name alone. The final configuration should be reviewed against the actual drilling system and project conditions.

DTH Drill Bit Manufacturer and Technical Support

MSD is a China-based rock drilling tools manufacturer with 23 years of manufacturing experience, exporting drilling products to customers in 40+ countries.

The MSD product range includes DTH hammers, DTH drill bits, drill pipes, casing systems, top hammer tools, and related drilling components. MSD supports standard replacement requirements, new drilling-system configurations, non-standard diameters, special Bit Shanks, and project-specific product requests.

The technical team can review drawings, samples, current bit markings, DTH Hammer information, required bit and finished hole diameters, button configurations, and project conditions before confirming an available or customized configuration.

This review helps reduce selection and Shank-mismatch risk while providing a clearer technical basis for quotation, production, and order confirmation.

Contact MSD for DTH Drill Bit Requirements

For a DTH bit quotation, provide the required bit diameter and finished hole diameter, exact DTH Hammer Model, required Bit Shank, current bit model or marking, product photos or drawings, rock formation, drilling application, and required quantity.

For replacement bits, information from the current Hammer and Bit should take priority over a general inch-size description. For non-standard diameters, special Shanks, or project-specific configurations, send the available drawing, sample information, dimensions, and technical requirements to MSD for review.

Compressor rated pressure and discharge capacity are also useful when MSD is reviewing the DTH Hammer and complete drilling system.

Questions

MSD supplies DTH drill bits, also known as down-the-hole drill bits, across seven product categories: 3 Inch, 4 Inch, 5 Inch, 6 Inch, 8 Inch, 10–15 Inch, and 18–24 Inch. Each category includes selected diameters and Bit Shank options. Check the corresponding size page for the confirmed configurations.
The current DTH bit range includes MSD, DHD, QL, MISSION, SD, N100, N125, and other size-specific Bit Shank systems shown on the corresponding size pages. Availability varies by size category. The required Bit Shank must be confirmed against the exact DTH Hammer Model or existing drilling system.
No. The required bit diameter and finished hole diameter are important, but the Bit Shank must also match the exact Hammer Model. The complete configuration should be confirmed using the Hammer Model, Shank designation, current bit information, and drilling requirements.
MSD can review customized DTH drill bit requirements, including special diameters, non-standard Shanks, button configurations, and project-specific configurations. Customers should provide available drawings, samples, current bit photographs, Hammer information, required diameters, and operating conditions for technical confirmation.
Provide the required bit diameter and finished hole diameter, exact DTH Hammer Model, Bit Shank, current bit model or marking, product photos or drawings, rock formation, drilling application, and required quantity. Compressor pressure and discharge capacity are also useful when MSD is reviewing the Hammer and complete drilling system.
